Delete it in the app

1. 1Open MovieTalk and go to Me.
2. 2Tap Settings.
3. 3Tap Delete account.
4. 4Read the confirmation and tap Delete account again.

Your profile disappears from other people’s screens right away and your matches end.

Ask us by email

If you can’t use the app, email support@movietalk.app from any address with the subject “Delete account” and the phone number you signed up with.

We will send a code to that number to confirm it’s you, then delete the account and reply when it’s done.

What gets deleted

• your profile, nickname, photos and prompt answers
• your matches, chats and the photos in them
• your selfie and Verified badge
• your remaining subtitle time

Deleting can’t be undone. You can sign up again later, but your old matches and chats won’t come back.

What we keep, and for how long

Everything else is deleted from our systems within 30 days. Messages you sent stay deleted for the other person too.

• Purchase records: 5 years, as required for consumer transactions under Korean law.
• Reports you made or received and their outcome: 1 year.
• A one-way hash of your phone number: 1 year, only to stop removed accounts from signing up again.

App store purchases

Deleting your account doesn’t delete your Apple or Google account or their purchase history. For refunds, contact the store you bought from.
